CNC Machine Operator I

Machine Operator IHexcel is currently seeking a Machine Operator I at our Amesbury, MA location. 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pmPay Range: $23.81-$28.46 per hourThe CNC Machine Operator I will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:Operate various CNC and machine shop equipmentAccurately record manufacturing data into the computerInspect products for defects or imperfections and report any issues to supervisors/leadsParts are periodically measured with micrometers and gauges. Deburring tools are used to clean until any flaws are correctedKeep equipment and workspaces clean following 5S methodologyWork in compliance with both Amesbury Quality and EHS at all timesComplies with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business ConductProactively participate in our safety-first cultureQualifications:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.Experience running industrial equipment and mechanically inclined.Ability to read and follow work instructions.Must be able to read basic measurements devices and perform mathematical equations.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Ability to read and interpret part drawings is a plusAbility to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.Able to obtain a security clearance is a plusThis position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
