Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sat05:45 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support controlled entry and exit procedures for personnel, visitors, and/or approved vehicles in accordance with site protocols. Maintain readiness for an armed patrol post by following post orders, handling security-related equipment responsibly, and reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns promptly. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
