Security Officer Armed Area Patrol Driver - Polkton, NC Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM; Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support movement control procedures in accordance with site requirements for an armed patrol post. Maintain readiness to respond to alarms, emergencies, and/or requests for assistance while following post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and Allied Universal standards. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card/license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
