Product Owner - Life Insurance Platform

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• Experience in the Life Insurance and Annuities industry
• Background supporting business transformation or technology modernization initiatives
• Strong requirements-gathering, process-analysis, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work directly with business users and technical teams
• Experience in Agile delivery environments
• Experience on the carrier or consulting side of insurance projects
• Experience with platform implementations, upgrades, or modernization initiatives
• Experience supporting integrations, APIs, data migration, or testing
• Strong understanding of Life and Annuity operations, including new business, underwriting, policy administration, billing, customer servicing, and claims
• Preferred: Experience with Life and Annuity policy administration systems such as FAST (Verisk), ALIP, OIPA, DXC wmA/CyberLife, EXL LifePro, or similar platforms

• Gather, analyze, and define business requirements
• Turn business needs into functional requirements and user stories
• Connect business stakeholders with technical teams
• Lead workshops, requirements sessions, and process discussions
• Support future-state process design and platform transformation
• Work with development teams to clarify requirements and support successful delivery
• Evaluate platform capabilities, configuration options, and business impacts
• Support implementation, integration, testing, and release activities
• Coordinate across insurance functions and business workstreams

We are recruiting an experienced Product Owner for our client in New York City, where you will support large-scale Life and Annuity insurance transformation initiatives. The role bridges insurance operations and technology, contributing to the modernization of core insurance systems and policy administration platforms.
