Accounting Manager, Shared Services

Job Description

Venteon Finance is currently engaged on an Accounting Manager, Shared Services search for a stable long-time manufacturing client located in the Detroit area.

REQUIREMENTS of the Accounting Manager, Shared Services role

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting
• 7-10+ years of related experience
• 3+ years in a Supervisory / Managerial role
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• CPA Designation is preferred, along with previous Public Accounting firm experience

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Accounting Manager, Shared Services

• Provide guidance and oversight for global shared services for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting teams
• Oversight of North American shared services for accounts payable, accounts receivable, andcash application
• Oversight for fixed assets globally, including appropriation requests, capital project accounting and reporting, capital and operating lease accounting determinations, analysis to facilitate annual budget and strategic 5 year plan processes
• Assist international locations with US GAAP requirements
• Ensure consistency and quality of financial statement methodologies and classification across locations
• Identify opportunities to further leverage financial systems; drive improvements in process efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage staff performance; including setting goals and objectives, coaching, and delivering results
