Billing Clerk

Position Summary The Billing Clerk is responsible for compiling amounts owed from purchase orders, charge slips, and sales tickets, preparing accurate invoices, and recording financial transactions. The role ensures shipments are properly loaded and orders are ready for next‑day billing while maintaining accurate and organized payment records. Key Responsibilities Enter data into the computer system, generate invoices, and produce freight payable documents. Input product shipment data into the system. Prepare bills of lading and export documents. Ensure shipments are properly loaded and orders ready for next‑day billing. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and experience using a 10‑key adding machine. Ability to communicate effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings. Strong accuracy and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively, respectful, approachable, and team‑oriented. Two years of previous billing experience is a plus. SAP experience preferred. Physical Demands & Work Environment The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. The plant environment may include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate but can be loud in the production area. Responsibilities may involve lifting up to 25 pounds. Compensation Expected pay range: $14.42–$24.04 per hour.
