Hampstead Central School (Pre-K through Grade 4) is seeking a part-time regular education paraeducator to work with and provide classroom support to elementary students. Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the paraeducator assists in the implementation and reinforcement of the instructional curriculum, helps prepare and administer testing, provide input to teachers, guidance counselors, and school administration regarding student performance. Duties may include the lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, and walking.


Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Ability to lift 50 pounds and other physical capability as noted


Completed applications require a cover letter of interest, one recommendation letter, and three professional references with contact information. The Hampstead School District does not contact references nor employers without explicit permission given verbally by the applicant.

Other:
5.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
30 minute unpaid lunch
Salary and benefits are based on experience and the Hampstead Associate of School Staff (HASS) Agreement, attached.
