Phlebotomist, Lab Outreach

Phlebotomist, Lab Outreach Purpose & Scope: The Phlebotomist-VHCMG performs phlebotomy and general lab-related duties within the medical practice setting. The position also includes administrative and practice support tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with point-of-care (POC) testing and excellent communication skills. While staff is assigned a home site, they may be requested to provide coverage at other office sites if needed. Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy procedures for patient samples. Conduct general lab-related duties in the practice setting. Assist with administrative and practice support tasks. Provide coverage at other office sites when requested. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience One year of healthcare/ medical-phlebotomy experience is required. Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program is preferred. One year of hospital experience is preferred. Computer experience is preferred. Certification & Licensure Phlebotomy certification (CPT or equivalent) is preferred.
