Outpatient Lab Specialist (Phlebotomist) - (Per-Diem) Purpose & Scope: Facilitate patients who are sent to the hospital for outpatient laboratory testing. Manage patient registration and possess an in-depth understanding of various insurances for proper specimen collection. Responsibilities Assist in patient registration for outpatient laboratory services. Ensure accurate and compliant specimen collection. Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and protocols. Provide support to the lab team as needed. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). One year of healthcare/medical phlebotomy experience (preferred). Proficiency in typing and computer use (preferred). Hospital experience (preferred). Certification & Licensure No specific certification or licensure required.
