Company Description Airblox is a digital platform that enables airlines, freight forwarders, GSAs, and other logistics partners to buy and sell airfreight capacity with ease. Organizations use Airblox to access fixed long-term contract rates, flexible financing options, and actionable data insights. The platform provides online tools that help streamline airfreight operations and improve decision-making. Airblox focuses on simplifying complex air cargo transactions while supporting more efficient and transparent supply chain management. The Role The Director of Finance will report to the CEO and lead all accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions for Airblox. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can operate at both the transactional and strategic level—building scalable processes in a growth-stage environment while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clear visibility into the business. This role also offers the opportunity to eventually expand scope to serve as Financial Director across other INOA Capital portfolio companies as the platform grows. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Controllership Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements (GAAP) Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management functions Design and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures appropriate for a scaling business Oversee external audit, tax filings, and compliance requirements Manage banking relationships and cash flow forecasting Build and maintain the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models Deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages and variance analysis to leadership Develop KPI dashboards and unit economics analysis specific to the airfreight marketplace model Support pricing, margin, and profitability analysis across Airblox's business lines Investor & Board Reporting Prepare board materials and periodic reporting packages for Airblox leadership and its ownership group Support due diligence, capital raises, and potential M&A activity Partner with finance and operations stakeholders on financial diligence for new initiatives Strategic & Operational Finance Act as a thought partner to the CEO/leadership team on capital allocation, headcount planning, and investment decisions Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, tools, and reporting infrastructure (ERP/accounting software implementation or optimization) Build scalable finance processes to support Airblox's growth trajectory Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role Experience in a private equity-backed or venture-backed company strongly preferred Experience in logistics, freight, marketplace, or transportation/aviation industries a plus Strong technical accounting background (GAAP) with hands-on close and audit Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield Generous PTO and sick leave to support work-life balance Equity/ownership opportunity — as a key member of the leadership team, you'll have the chance to share directly in Airblox's growth and success Performance-based bonuses tied to individual and company success Generous parental leave to support growing families Employee referral program Regular team outings and events to build a strong, connected culture The opportunity to make a real impact at a fast-growing, tech-enabled company changing the air cargo and logistics industries #J-18808-Ljbffr Airblox
