Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Progressive Care experience preferred License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry competency Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a progressive care unit. The unit consists of 20 beds with a mix of medical surgical and step-down patients. The patient ratio is 1:5 or 1:6, depending on the level of care. This is an inpatient overflow unit with short stay patients who have a target length of stay of 24 hours. The unit serves a variety of patients with quick turnover. Equipment used includes telemetry, with patients hardwired to bedside monitors if telemetry monitoring is indicated. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner. Successful candidates will possess a positive attitude and be focused on patient experience. They should be kind, compassionate, and able to work well within a team. Additional functions may involve floating to other units as needed. Every other weekend commitment is required, with no on-call duties.
