Solution IT Inc. is looking for Linux Operating Systems engineer for one of its clients in Minneapolis, MN

Job Title: Linux Operating Systems engineer

Required skills:

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux distribution Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Proficiency in system installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Perl scripting. Ability to automate routine administration tasks, system monitoring, and deployments using tools such as Ansible
• System Performance and Troubleshooting
• (a)Strong knowledge of Linux processes, memory management, file systems, networking, and kernel concepts.
• (b)Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and resolve performance or availability issues.
• Security and Compliance
• (a)Knowledge of Linux hardening, user/access management, security patching, SELinux, auditing, and vulnerability remediation.
• (b)Experience following enterprise security and compliance standards.

Linux Administration

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8).
• Experience managing enterprise Linux environments at scale.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Hands-on experience supporting Linux workloads in AWS Cloud.
• Experience with:

• EC2
• EBS
• VPC
• IAM
• CloudWatch

• Auto Scaling

Automation & Scripting

• Proficiency in:

• Bash Shell Scripting
• Python
• Ansible

Troubleshooting

• Strong knowledge of:

• Linux Kernel
• Systemd
• LVM
• File Systems (XFS, EXT4)
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, NFS)

IT Service Management

• Strong understanding of ITIL Framework.
• Practical experience with:

• Incident Management
• Change Management
• Problem Management
• Service Request Fulfillment

ServiceNow

• Experience using ServiceNow for:

• Incident management
• Change requests
• Problem records
• CMDB updates
• Reporting and SLA tracking

Work Site : Minneapolis, MN (Day 1 onsite, 4 days office)

Duration: Long term contract

Expected Start Date : 2 Weeks
