Summer Instructor

Instructor Position – Summer Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) – School of Engineering Position Summary: Instructor for a non‑credit summer enrichment program for entering students to prepare them for freshman‑year engineering courses. Responsibilities Assess students’ prior knowledge and identify gaps in foundational concepts. Develop and deliver instructional materials and lessons for non‑credit courses. Assist students in understanding the material that will be covered in freshman‑year engineering courses. Provide feedback, support, and guidance to students as needed. Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated ability to teach and engage undergraduate students. Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and introductory coursework. Preferred Qualifications Teaching certificate or graduate coursework in education. Experience teaching summer courses or other enrichment programs. Physical Demands and Work Environment Standard classroom setting; occasional standing or walking while teaching.
