Description – Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, immunology, among others—following established protocols diligently.
• Evaluate test results meticulously, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure lab instruments undergo regular maintenance and calibration.
• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for various testing procedures as required.
• Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, share your expertise by training new staff or students, and actively contribute to maintaining lab quality standards.
• Ensure a well-organized and safe work environment, consistently adhering to regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health qualification along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within a year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of certification throughout the duration of employment is required.
