job summary:
Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportuity with our client located near the Hampstead, NY area. This position will be responsible to drive New Product Introduction and lead lean manufacturing initiatives. Seeking a proven candidate with expertise in machining, brazing, and welding ideally within aerospace, defense, or medical device environments to elevate the engineering team and execute high-impact projects from day one. Relocation assistance will be considered for highly qualified candidates.

• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and implement lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize production processes and bridge critical technical skill gaps.

• Apply deep expertise in machining, brazing, and welding processes to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges and refine production techniques.

• Partner with and guide early-career engineering talent, using senior-level technical knowledge to drive project execution and continuous improvement.

• Build cross-functional relationships to effectively influence stakeholders, streamline workflows, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

• Author, update, and validate detailed manufacturing documentation, tooling designs, and operational instructions to ensure seamless transition from design to production.

• Experience level: Experienced
• Minimum 7 years of experience
