About the Role

The Company is in search of a General Manager / COO with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing to provide operational and strategic leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, and overseeing production scheduling, quality control, and on-time delivery. In addition to operational duties, the role involves close collaboration with sales and production teams to enhance business development, expand customer relationships, and identify growth opportunities. The General Manager / COO will also be involved in office and administrative oversight, including supervising staff, implementing processes for job costing and profitability tracking, and supporting HR in various functions. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' of leadership experience in aerospace or related precision manufacturing, with a proven track record in operations, sales, and administrative management. A strong knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100D, ISO 9001, and ITAR is essential, as is a background in financial management and KPI reporting. The role requires an individual with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, who is customer-focused and capable of building strong external relationships. A degree in engineering or business is required, with an MBA or Six Sigma certification being preferred. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, capable of engaging with both the shop floor and the executive office, and will work closely with the President on long-term growth strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
