HR Generalist

Kforce's client, a well-established private, nonprofit college, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support faculty, staff, and student employees across the institution. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and making an impact through strong HR operations and employee support. The client offers salary and great benefits, discounts. This position will be on-site in the Boston, MA area. As a key member of the HR team, you'll support day-to-day human resources functions, including:

• Supporting recruitment and onboarding for faculty, staff, and student employees
• Coordinating new hire processes, employment documentation, and orientation
• Maintaining accurate employee records and processing personnel changes in the HRIS
• Partnering with payroll to ensure timely and accurate pay processing
• Serving as a trusted resource for HR policies, procedures, and general employee questions
• Assisting with benefits enrollment, leave administration, and compliance activities
• Contributing to HR projects and initiatives that enhance the employee experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• HR certification (SHRM-CP or similar) preferred or willingness to obtain
• 3+ years of professional HR experience (higher education or similar environment preferred)
• Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom a plus)
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
