Project Manager IIThis role is key in promoting and adhering to the organization's Project Management Methodology, including communication and management of tasks for all phases of the Project Lifecycle. This position resides in the Project Management Office within the Department of Enterprise Technology (DET). The Senior Project Manager reports to the Manager of the PMO. The Senior Project Manager will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:Initiating and managing multiple complex enterprise projects in parallel and with multiple dependenciesPlanning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget and with desired functionality and outcomesProviding project status, reports, performance metrics and other deliverables at each stage of a defined project management methodology to PMO Manager and other DET managementCreating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirementsSupporting business and project management staffManaging PMO operational activities, ensuring current, accurate and quality project information across the portfolioIdentifying and managing portfolio risksUsing influence to eliminate bottlenecks and potential resource alignment problemsIdentifying resources needed and assigns individual responsibilitiesManaging stakeholders and stakeholder expectationsBuilding strong project teams across multiple divisionsProviding excellent service (internal and external to DET)Effectively managing vendor relationships in accordance to client strategies and directivesDemonstrating a willingness to collaborate and support the PMO and DET peers and leadershipSupporting the advancement of the PMO's missionSupporting Portfolio Management that provides a forward-looking picture of project workContinuously improving the Project MethodologyProviding input into Project Management Best PracticesEducating Project Management customers and stakeholders on PMO processes and toolsRequirementsTop Skills (3) & Years of Experience: 3-5 years Skills:Project Management knowledge and experienceSolid organizationEffective communicationLeadershipExperience with StakeholdersNice to Have:Meeting facilitation skillsProblem solvingEffective decision making
