General Manager (, ID, United States)

A US focused gold developer is seeking a General Manager to lead a large scale oxide gold project through development, construction readiness, commissioning, ramp up, and future operations.

This is a senior site leadership role based on site in Southern Idaho, requiring a highly visible operational leader capable of bridging project development and long term mining operations across a complex, multi discipline environment.

The successful individual will play a major role in building the site leadership structure, operational systems, contractor framework, safety culture, operational readiness strategy, and long term operating discipline required to transition the asset into a successful producing mine.

The General Manager will report directly to the President & CEO and will operate as the senior operational leader responsible for aligning site execution with the company's broader strategic, technical, and commercial objectives.

Compensation

• Base Salary: US$235,000 to US$265,000
• Short Term Incentive: 50% target bonus
• Long Term Incentive: Equity participation in addition to base salary and annual bonus
• Comprehensive relocation support available for the successful candidate

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from feasibility and permitting into construction readiness, commissioning, first gold, and operational ramp up
• Provide leadership across open pit mining, heap leach operations, ADR processing, maintenance, technical services, HSE, and contractor management
• Build the site operating structure, management systems, KPIs, reporting routines, and workforce capability required for long term operations
• Drive operational discipline across mine planning, ore stacking, recovery performance, maintenance execution, water management, and production delivery
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, contractor performance, and operational business planning activities
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators, permitting bodies, contractors, consultants, local stakeholders, and corporate leadership
• Ensure operational requirements are embedded into engineering, procurement, construction planning, staffing, and commissioning activities
• Develop a strong operational culture focused on accountability, safety, execution discipline, and continuous improvement
• Support operational readiness, workforce mobilisation, leadership development, and long term organizational capability building

Requirements

• Strong senior leadership experience within North American open pit mining operations
• Direct exposure to oxide gold, heap leach, ADR, or ROM processing environments highly preferred
• Experience transitioning projects from feasibility or permitting into construction, commissioning, and operations
• Strong contractor management and multi discipline operational leadership capability
• Proven experience managing operational budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and cost performance within mining environments
• Strong understanding of mine operations, maintenance, metallurgy, technical services, environmental compliance, and operational risk management
• Experience operating within MSHA regulated environments strongly preferred
• Ability to operate effectively across both executive level strategic leadership and hands on site execution
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and team building capability
