Account Associate

RSVP Catering is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Account Associate to support our Catering Sales team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited to learn or expand their knowledge in the catering and events industry while developing sales, client service, and event coordination skills. The Account Associate plays a key role in supporting the sales process from initial inquiry through event execution, working closely with Senior Account Executives and Operations to ensure a seamless and memorable client experience. This position offers hands-on exposure to high-end events, client interaction, and the inner workings of a successful catering company. What You'll Do Lead & Inquiry Support Respond to incoming catering inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assist with qualifying leads and gathering event details Create catering proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) Assist with menu development and pricing under guidance of senior team member Client Experience & Relationship Support Provide excellent customer service throughout the planning process Support communication with clients to ensure expectations are met Event Planning & Coordination Assist with event logistics including timelines, layouts, and vendor coordination Participate in event walkthroughs, tastings, and occasional on-site event support Support Account Executives in achieving sales goals Prepare basic sales reports and assist with data entry and organization Assist with marketing initiatives and special projects as needed Collaborate with sales, culinary, and operations teams to ensure successful events What We're Looking For Required Skills & Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Customer-focused mindset with a professional demeanor Comfortable learning sales systems, contracts, and event processes Preferred (But Not Required) Experience in hospitality, events, catering, or sales support Familiarity with CRM or proposal software (CaterXpert a plus) Transportation Requirement Must have reliable access to a vehicle for occasional travel to event sites, venues, tastings, or meetings in the Northern Virginia/DC area In-person position based in Fairfax, VA (with movement throughout the DMV per event coverage needs) Team-oriented environment with opportunities to work independently #J-18808-Ljbffr RSVP Catering
