Wendover Art Group is seeking a Staff Accountant who wants to understand the business behind the numbers and have a meaningful impact on how we operate. This is not a narrowly defined accounting role. Our Staff Accountant works across Accounting, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Sales, providing the financial accuracy and analysis needed to make strong business decisions. We are looking for someone who is analytical, highly detailed, intellectually curious, and accountable. Someone who does not simply identify that a number is wrong but wants to understand why, what caused it, and how we fix it. Key Responsibilities Own key components of the monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity, investigating variances and discrepancies Support accounting across inventory, costing, AR, AP, cash, and fixed assets Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to understand the financial impact of inventory, purchasing, production, and material movement Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting Turn financial and operational data into clear, actionable information Strengthen internal controls and improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and build better processes Take ownership of issues through resolution Skills and Traits Necessary for Success Data is key to making sound business decisions, and at Wendover, we are looking for team members who bring both technical proficiency and business acumen to the table. What Else Do We Look For? 2+ years of experience as a Staff Auditor or Accountant Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related Field ERP system experience (Syspro is a plus) Strong foundation in GAAP and accounting principles Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and financial accuracy Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Intellectual curiosity, accountability, and strong follow‑through Manufacturing, inventory, ERP, or cost accounting experience is a plus Why Wendover This role provides exposure well beyond traditional accounting.
