Director of Operations

Qualifications Experience in school operations, facilities management, transportation, maintenance, or related field required Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience Knowledge of school transportation regulations and operational procedures Possess a valid CDL with appropriate endorsements, or demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain the required CDL credentials to support district transportation operations. Experience managing budgets, personnel, and departmental operations Knowledge of facility maintenance, grounds management, safety, and security practices Experience with electronic building management systems, including HVAC controls, security systems, and related facility technologies Ability to coordinate transportation, maintenance, custodial, and safety programs effectively Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents, and community agencies Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws related to transportation, safety, and facilities operations Basic computer skills required, including proficiency with email, Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and spreadsheet use for data entry and record-keeping. Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks Responsibilities Oversee all district transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, staffing, training, and compliance Supervise transportation, maintenance, and custodial personnel Coordinate district safety, security, and emergency preparedness programs Manage maintenance and upkeep of district facilities, grounds, and vehicles Develop and administer transportation and maintenance budgets Coordinate facility improvement projects and preventative maintenance programs Advise the Superintendent on operational, safety, security, and facilities-related matters Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent #J-18808-Ljbffr
