Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to assist the Payroll team process payroll, timekeeping review, employee records management, and general workforce support functions. This role is ideal for someone with payroll coordination or payroll administrative experience who enjoys working with data, maintaining accurate records, and supporting employees in a fast-paced environment. A meticulous attention to detail is necessary.

Experience supporting payroll in a construction, trades, or project-based environment is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review employee timesheets and attendance records for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter and maintain payroll-related data, including schedule changes, absences, and employee updates.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing and payroll record maintenance.
• Support the preparation of certified payroll reports and project-related workforce documentation when required.
• Respond to employee questions regarding pay, timekeeping, and payroll records.
• Maintain organized payroll files and assist with reporting requests.
• Coordinate with supervisors to resolve timekeeping discrepancies and missing information.
• Assist with new hire paperwork and employee onboarding activities.
• Support administrative projects and other office duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in payroll support, timekeeping, administrative support, or a related field.
• Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with payroll and workforce management software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Good organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Professional approach to handling confidential information.

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
