Youth Care Specialist

We are seeking a Youth Care Specialist to join our team.Starting Salary: $17.00 - $20.00 (Hourly)Full-time and part-time positions available across all shifts!As a Youth Care Specialist, you’ll guide and support clients through daily activities, teach important skills, ensure a safe environment, and help manage behaviors. You’ll plan engaging activities, follow treatment plans, document progress, and work as part of our Residential team under the guidance of the Youth Behavioral Health Specialist Manager.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Responsible for direct supervision and safety of all clients.Responsible for the proper behavior management of children through the use of behavior management techniques.Build healthy relationships with clients and be a role model of healthy behaviorsHave a working knowledge of the child's treatment plan and objectives and structure activities to support that plan.Responsible for creatively structuring activities for groups and conducting psycho-educational groups.May be responsible for medication administration and other medical support.Responsible for the review/writing of all required documentation.Responsible for teaching, guiding, and assisting the client in daily life skills as appropriate for age.Provide 24-hour awake supervision.May assist the classroom teacher in performing classroom duties.Ability to manage clients courteously and tactfully while on agency property.WHAT YOU WILL BRING:Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of relevant experience working with children and the following:High school diploma or GED, required.Bachelor’s degree in social services, child development, or criminal justice, preferred.At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening, required.A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation, required.WHO WE ARE:Cornerstones of Care is a mental and behavioral health nonprofit certified in trauma-informed care that provides evidence-based prevention, intervention, treatment, and support services to help children and families improve their safety and health by making positive changes in their lives.
