Business Development Representative (United States)

National Real Estate Insurance Group (NREIG) is a privately held insurance agency headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 1999, NREIG specializes in delivering tailored property and liability insurance solutions exclusively for real estate investors—from single-family rentals to multi-unit complexes, renovation projects, vacation homes, and mobile properties—across all 50 states.

We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing Business Development Representative to join our growing company. This role is ideal for someone who loves public speaking and thrives in face-to-face interactions, educating others, and is passionate about connecting prospects with solutions that meet their insurance needs.

Responsibilities of the position include:

• Speak at industry events, including speaker panels and webinars, to share insights, educate prospects, promote the agency’s expertise, and build brand awareness.
• Represent the agency at industry events, tradeshows, networking functions, and community events across the country to generate new business leads and increase brand visibility.
• Gather lead contact information and advise potential clients on coverage options available in the NREIG insurance program.
• Proactively follow up with leads gathered at events, nurture relationships and qualify prospects to seamlessly transition to the Sales team for insurance proposals.
• Gather and share insights from events and interactions to uncover investment interests and audience needs and help refine messaging and product offerings.
• Stay informed about competitive offerings and trends in both the real estate investor and insurance markets.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic outreach initiatives.
• Create short- and long-form educational content for social media platforms to raise awareness and provide value to current and potential clients.
• Actively engage in relevant social media groups and online communities to build relationships, answer questions and position the agency as a trusted resource.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and lead status in the company’s CRM system.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking on camera and presenting to groups.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including some weekends.
• Familiarity with CRM tools.
• 5+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience.
• Experience in insurance or financial services a plus.
• P&C insurance license required within the first 90 days.
• Ability to travel to industry events (up to 50%).
