Assistant Clinical DirectorThe Assistant Clinical Director supports the Clinical Director in overseeing the delivery of healthcare services to an incarcerated population within a correctional facility. This role assists in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered medical care while maintaining alignment with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols. The Assistant Clinical Director provides clinical leadership, operational support, and direct collaboration with medical, nursing, and administrative staff to promote continuity of care, quality improvement, and effective clinical operations in a secure environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Clinical Director with the oversight and coordination of clinical services for pre-trial and incarcerated populationsSupport supervision, mentoring, and evaluation of clinical staff to ensure quality and appropriate care deliveryParticipate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical policies, procedures, and treatment protocolsCollaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and facility administration to ensure coordinated and efficient healthcare deliveryAssist in monitoring compliance with applicable clinical standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory guidelinesParticipate in quality assurance, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and performance improvement activitiesAssist with audit preparation, inspections, and corrective action planningSupport infection control initiatives and medication management processesAddress clinical concerns, patient care issues, and operational challenges as delegated by the Clinical DirectorMaintain accurate clinical documentation and support reporting requirementsQualificationsLicensed healthcare professional (RN, NP, PA, or other applicable clinical discipline) from an accredited program (required)Active, unrestricted license in the state of practice or ability to obtain one (required)Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in correctional, institutional, or acute care settingsPrior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)Knowledge of correctional healthcare standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation processes (preferred)Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to successfully pass credentialing, background checks, and security clearancePreferred Skills & CompetenciesExperience working with underserved or high-acuity populationsFamiliarity with CQI, risk management, and performance improvement methodologiesAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a secure environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to adapt to a fast-paced and highly regulated settingTalantage, LLC is committed to presenting candidates that contribute to an organizations culture of inclusivity and its commitment to diversity in the workplace are demonstrated through our recruitment practices.
