This role focuses on precision TIG welding on machined parts, with additional responsibility for MIG welding. You will work on a variety of aerospace components and defense-related projects, requiring a high level of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in every weld.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on machined metal parts in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Carry out MIG welding operations as needed to support production requirements and project timelines.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions for aerospace and defense components.
• Prepare materials and workpieces for welding, including cleaning, positioning, and clamping to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to verify quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in safe and efficient working condition.
• Follow established safety procedures and quality standards throughout all welding activities.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve technical issues related to weld quality or fit.
• Document work as required, such as recording completed welds, noting any defects, and reporting issues that may affect quality or delivery.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a TIG welder working on machined parts.
• Strong MIG welding skills with the ability to switch between TIG and MIG processes as required.
• Ability to work on aerospace and defense-related components with a focus on precision and quality.
• Solid understanding of welding techniques, weld symbols, and basic fabrication practices.
• Capability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, structurally sound welds.
• Awareness of and adherence to safety procedures in a welding and fabrication environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Formal qualification or certification as a TIG welder.
• Experience working with machined parts in a production or project-based environment.
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection practices used in aerospace and defense projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
