Job City & State Raleigh, NC Classification Title Temporary-Clerical Working Title UTS - Temporary Communication Specialist at NC State Work Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Other Work/Responsibilities N/A Minimum Experience/Education Associate’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Journalism, English, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated experience applying journalistic, communication, and/or publication principles and practices. Demonstrated experience with social media engagement, content management, online listening, and analytics. Demonstrated experience using technology related to web design, social media platforms, and digital communications. Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and best practices for social and digital media. Department Required Skills Proficiency in web development tools, including WordPress, HTML, and CSS. Experience using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Strong project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional or cross-divisional initiatives. Experience with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and video recording/editing software (e.g., Camtasia). Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Proficiency with Google Workspace tools, including Google Drive and Gmail, as well as experience with standard operating templates and data cataloging.
