Automation Sales Manager (AMR’s/AGV’s)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established manufacturer of material handling equipment who are looking to add a new Warehouse Automation specialist to provide both support and business development to its sales team focusing on mobile solutions to include AMR’s & AGV’s. With a competitive package and good long-term prospects this is a great opportunity for an experienced automation/robotics specialist to thrive in a role with a market leading organisation.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the existing sales team by attending customer meetings with sales professionals and providing knowledge on mobile automation systems
- Develop business on a national basis by working with end user’s, integrator’s and third party providers
- Be a product specialist in relation to automated pallet handling solutions, AGV’s & AMR’s
- Provide simulations with customers in order to aid in winning new business on various size projects travelling nationally
Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally be a project sales focused professional from within the automation sector. It is essential that you will be a product specialist in relation to mobile automation and ideally have strong experience of AGV’s and AMR’s. Additionally, you will have an appreciation of pallet handling automation and an understanding of how this market will grow. The company are seeking an individual who can seek new business successfully and require someone to be highly consultative in order to win large projects. In terms of locality, you will ideally be based across the South of England albeit the role requires national travel. As an alternative to automation sales experience, our client is open to an individual who has had exposure to semi automated products such as AGV’s or similar within another warehousing environment, such as material handling or racking & storage though this person will need to show their ability to adapt.

Part of a wider group, they’re also involved in supplying various other types of warehouse equipment and are one the most well known brands within the material handling sector, being a true market leader. Having obtained consistently growth for the last 30 years, they’re expecting this to continue and are therefore looking to bring new territory sales people in to increase market share further.
