Accounting Specialist

Lancaster area non-profit is seeking an Accounting Specialist to joint their team. $25.00 - $27.00  an hour. BS degree in Accounting preferred. Should be able to pass criminal background check. Responsibilities

• Accounts payable for multiple companies.
• Accounts receivable for multiple companies.
• Bank reconciliation, transfers and deposits.
• Works with departments to ensure accurate recording of activities into appropriate computerized accounting journals and ledgers.
• Maintains the accounting system general ledger (GL), creating GL chart of accounts in accordance with requirements, monitoring subsidiary system uploads, preparing periodic routine general ledger entries, performing account analysis and preparing correcting GL entries, and reviewing general ledger entries prepared by others.
• Analyzes and reconciles daily cash position to the bank reviewing various data such as cash receipts, outstanding checks, investment interest/principal payments, ACH/wire transfer activity, and subsidiary system imported financial data.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or directly related field preferred
• Professional accounting experience preferred.
• Background clearances required.
• bilingual a plus.
• Contract/temp to hire.
