Industrial Maintenance Technician - CNC & Spindle Systems

CNC Maintenance Technician or Machine RebuilderCenterline is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician or Machine Rebuilder to join our team specializing in precision spindle repair and rebuilding for CNC milling, turning, grinding, and routing equipment. Relocation Incentive: Up to $4,500 toward housing purchase for candidates relocating from 45+ miles or out of state. Performance-based bonuses for completed jobs.Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, repair, and rebuild CNC spindles and related componentsFabricate, assemble, and process mechanical and electrical parts to specificationInspect components and subassemblies for accuracy and qualityPerform failure analysis and in-process testingReassemble machine components, including spindles, drives, and assembliesEnsure all work meets precision tolerances and performance standardsMechanical Skills & ExperienceAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawingsExperience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, etc.)Understanding of spindle components: shafts, housings, drawbars, pistons, springs, tool changersKnowledge of proper disassembly and reassembly sequencesHands-on experience with shop equipment: presses, hoists, grinders, drills, torchesAbility to perform minor rework using manual lathe, mill, and drill pressExperience with balancing and testing equipment preferredElectrical SkillsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagramsExperience using diagnostic tools (ohm meter, oscilloscopes, encoder testers, etc.)Safely connect and test spindle systemsExperience with spindle drives and motor programming (preferred)Soldering and wiring of connectors and componentsUnderstanding of sensors and encoders within spindle systemsHydraulics & PneumaticsRead and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagramsIdentify and measure seals, O-rings, fittings, hoses, and valvesUnderstand systems related to lubrication, tool change, cooling, and air sealingQualificationsExperience as a CNC Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or Machine RebuilderStrong mechanical aptitude with electrical troubleshooting abilityExperience working with precision equipment and tight tolerancesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)Bonus structure based on completed jobsHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceSimple IRA retirement planStable, full-time position with growth potentialAbout Centerline Centerline specializes in the repair and rebuilding of precision spindles for a wide range of CNC machine tools.
