Electronics Repair Technician

Repair TechnicianThe Repair Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electronic and automation equipment for both company inventory and customer-owned equipment. This position also assists with the design and construction of diagnostic equipment and the configuration or customization of drives and related equipment based on customer requirements.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTest, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair incoming inventory.Diagnose and repair customer-owned equipment.Design and build diagnostic components and test equipment as needed.Build, configure, or customize drives and related equipment for customer applications.Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.Participate in training and continuing education to expand technical and repair capabilities.Monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts and supplies needed for repair operations.Meet productivity, quality, and performance goals established by management.Maintain an organized and efficient work area.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Required Skills and QualificationsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work accurately and with close attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage workload effectively.Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information appropriately.Professional and constructive approach when working with coworkers, customers, and management.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous experience with drive repair, industrial electronics, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices is preferred.Physical and Work RequirementsAbility to occasionally climb or use ladders while working with inventory or equipment.Ability to frequently move, lift, or handle boxes, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.Ability to communicate information and instructions clearly and effectively.Ability to safely work with electrical and electronic equipment.Professional Expectations Successful Repair Technicians are expected to demonstrate:Teamwork: Works effectively with others, follows through on commitments, communicates respectfully, and assists coworkers when needed.Organization: Maintains an orderly work environment and plans work effectively.Efficiency: Completes work accurately while making appropriate use of time, materials, and company resources.Attention to Detail: Performs work carefully and thoroughly and verifies the quality of completed repairs and tasks.Critical Thinking: Uses logic, technical knowledge, and available information to identify problems and evaluate potential solutions.Initiative: Approaches assigned responsibilities with a productive attitude and willingness to learn.Situational Awareness: Remains attentive to equipment, surroundings, safety concerns, and changing work conditions.Sound Judgment: Identifies relevant factors and makes appropriate decisions within the responsibilities of the position.Professionalism: Works cooperatively with others and communicates in a respectful and appropriate manner.Integrity: Conducts work honestly, ethically, and in accordance with company policies.Leadership: Demonstrates a willingness to take responsibility, provide direction when appropriate, and contribute constructive ideas.Commitment: Demonstrates reliability and supports the success of the department and the company.Starting pay $18.00/ hour
