Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of patients, ensuring safety, communication, and clinical excellence. This role involves implementing patient care plans, assessing needs, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop personalized plans of care aligned with unit standards.
• Implement nursing interventions and patient care procedures to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all nursing activities and patient responses.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as necessary.
• Promote safety by identifying hazards, reporting incidents, and ensuring a secure environment for patients and staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to coordinate care and resolve issues.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in cardiac or surgical settings.
• Maintain BLS certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Show commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
