Machine Operator - Nights

Full-time

Job Description
Position Purpose:

Works as a member of the Axle Production department to assist in the operation of machinery in the axle Production area.
Essential Functions:

Operating all of the non-MIG welding machinery in the axle area.

Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Veneer calipers, and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance.

Proper paperwork/reports are to be completed to document build per work order specifications.

Education and Training:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Prior CNC Machine Operator or manufacturing machining experience, preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to interpret production schedules and build specifications.

Must be able to utilize torque wrenches according to specs.

Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment

Physical Demands:

Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp

Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching

Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing

Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs

Must be able to utilize overhead cranes

Must follow all safety practices and policies.
