Number of Beds – 17 pre/post bays
Number of Staff – 3 FT staff and 1 PT staff
Type of staff:
Day Shift – They are all Day shift, we use PRN staff to help our core staffing currently
Night Shift -
Patient Ratios – Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase 1 is 1:1 and Phase 2 is 2:2
Type of equipment – Stretchers, Blood glucose, Monitors, BP, Pyxis machines
EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current PACU experience
BLS & ACLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Knowledge of PT/OT instructions for Joint patients
Comfortable with bedside teaching
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

Total joint procedures, Sports Med, Foot/Ankle, some Podiatry, hand and nerve cases
General surgery (Hernias, Lap appy, Lap chole cases primarily), Breast cases with some plastic reconstruction (mastectomy with tissue expanders or direct to implant cases).
