This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of all our electrical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our electrical safety programs, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. As an Electrical Safety Coordinator, your duties will include but are not limited to: 1. Developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's electrical safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards, including NFPA 70E.
2. Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure all equipment and systems are in good working order.
3. Providing training and education to staff on electrical safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of safety equipment.
4. Investigating and reporting on any electrical accidents or incidents, identifying causes, and recommending corrective actions.
5. Coordinating with project managers and other team members to ensure that all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with established safety protocols.
6. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in electrical safety, including changes to regulations and best practices.
7. Promoting a positive safety culture within the organization through effective communication, training, and leadership. Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical safety role, preferably within the electrical construction industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations, including NFPA 70E.
3. Proven experience in developing and implementing electrical safety programs.
4. Strong ability to conduct safety audits and inspections.
5. Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety procedures and protocols to staff at all levels.
6. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential hazards and recommend effective corrective actions.
7. A high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
