Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care

CNA Long-Term Care

Schedule: All contracts must run through holiday season; end date flexible; shifts start on Tuesday or Thursday.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 27 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the plan of care, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, promptly responding to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents in meeting their nutritional needs, including meal delivery and any necessary assistance.
• Address rehabilitative needs of residents, providing assistance with mobility and proper body alignment.
• Report any resident rights, concerns, changes in physical or emotional status to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Follow all protocols regarding occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Compliance / Notes:

• Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
• Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
