Infusion RN Sr.- Dallas Presby

Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Dallas Presbyterian location. This full‑time position (Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm) does not include weekends, on‑call, or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards and practices. Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration. Facilitate dose modifications by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage adjustments, problems, and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Education/Training Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Entry level – 0‑3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Experience Levels Level II – Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior – Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology; oncology certification preferred. Working Conditions The work environment is typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. There may be exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations. Physical Requirements The physical demands required include full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range. #J-18808-Ljbffr Us Oncology Inc
