Infusion RN Sr.- Dallas Presby

Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Dallas Presbyterian location. This full-time position is Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm with no weekends, calls, or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication, dosage, route, time and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, reviewing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Education and Training Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education (BSN preferred). RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Level I 0–3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred. Oncology certification preferred. Physical Requirements Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
