Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience Weekend availability (Every Other Weekend) Willingness to float between like units Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This position involves managing a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse will be expected to handle up to 4 patients per shift, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety. Floating between various like units is required and supports the flexibility of staffing needs. The facility serves a high volume of patients daily and is designated as a stroke and cardiac center. Candidates should possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills. All applicants must be willing to commit to working three of the five major holidays. Floating between sister facilities may be expected as part of the assignment. Travelers' refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.
