(Subject to applicable taxes) Schedule Full-time: Day/Night rotation. Some call shifts will be required. Straight night shift or part-time opportunities may be available for experienced NICU RNs with at least 1 year of recent NICU experience. What You Will Do Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes. Show clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations. Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing. Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities. Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients, including annual training and adherence to UH Code of Conduct and policies. Education BSN, RN Diploma, ADN, or MN required. (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, RN Diploma, ADN, or MN) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities 1 year of inpatient RN experience required. NICU or Newborn experience preferred. New graduate RNs outside of UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s and the UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital are not being considered at this time. Knowledge of nursing process and practice (Required proficiency). Proficiency in use of a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, electronic monitoring devices). Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi-State Compact License (Required Upon Hire). Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
