Job Purpose:

The Line Cook brings passion and precision to every plate, preparing high-quality dishes that showcase Main Street Hospitality’s dedication to memorable dining experiences. With a focus on teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail, the Line Cook supports kitchen operations to deliver consistent, inspired cuisine that delights our guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Participate in daily prep work and assist with inventory control.
• Uphold Main Street Hospitality’s commitment to excellence in every dish served.
• Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management.

Education & Experience:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook preferred; culinary school training a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to work in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.
