Job Purpose:
The Line Cook brings passion and precision to every plate, preparing high-quality dishes that showcase Main Street Hospitality’s dedication to memorable dining experiences. With a focus on teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail, the Line Cook supports kitchen operations to deliver consistent, inspired cuisine that delights our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Follow proper food handling practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Participate in daily prep work and assist with inventory control.
- Uphold Main Street Hospitality’s commitment to excellence in every dish served.
- Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook preferred; culinary school training a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.
