Senior Business Analyst

Job PostingPay Range: $68hr - $72hrResponsibilitiesDeliver precise functional specifications including functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to clients and development staff.Translate customer requirements into comprehensive User Stories, acceptance criteria, and recommend appropriate solutions.Build and document specifications for development.Update and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix.Support gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with Architects and Developers to estimate project impact.Work with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.Demonstrate changes to clients to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed.Develop training materials and provide training in one-on-one or classroom environments.Candidateage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication.Leadership ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings with clients and internal teams.Coordinate Delivery Team tasks and assignments; monitor team/task progress.Create, review, and facilitate discussions related to requirements.Support system testing, regression testing, and smoke testing.Review Candidatelp Desk tickets and responses as needed.Support planning and conduct of end user training sessions; prepare training materials.Prepare and review outreach emails and review outreach user lists; track outreach activities.Write and review process and procedure documentation; monitor use of SOPs.Support weekly Agile Release Train Status Meetings to provide updates on team/sprint status.Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsSolid hands-on experience with User Stories and building User Stories with the customer and their workflows.Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technology-related field or relevant experience in implementing software.8 or more years of experience as an Analyst.Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, techniques, and workflows.Ability to develop and prepare use cases, functional specifications, and technical requirements.Ability to understand and represent the needs of end users in a software development environment.Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong consultative and advisory skills.EquivalenciesAn equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesLocal government experience is preferred, but not required.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.
