Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract IT Support Specialist on behalf of our client, a technology support company providing services to businesses and individuals. This role is essential in maintaining smooth IT operations for the company’s clients, including law firms and small businesses, by handling desktop support, troubleshooting, and remote assistance. The Contract IT Support Specialist will provide short-term coverage for an employee on medical leave, ensuring business continuity and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 1 IT support for hardware, software, email, and other business technology needs
• Respond to client service requests primarily via email and ticketing system
• Perform remote troubleshooting and issue resolution for approximately 70% of support requests
• Travel to client offices to provide on-site support as needed
• Assist with basic desktop support tasks, including setup, maintenance, and software installation
• Ensure timely resolution of IT issues and maintain clear communication with clients
• Document service requests, resolutions, and client interactions for tracking and reporting purposes
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate resources when necessary
• Support the company in maintaining overall IT operational stability during the temporary assignment

Requirements include:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional IT certifications or coursework preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing IT support in a business or professional environment
• Experience supporting small business clients and remote troubleshooting preferred

Skills:

• Proficiency with desktop hardware and software troubleshooting
• Basic networking and email support experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical clients
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and email-based support workflows

Certifications:

• None required; A+, Network+, or equivalent IT certifications are a plus

Knowledge:

• Understanding of common business software applications and operating systems
• Knowledge of remote desktop tools and IT support best practices
• Basic understanding of security protocols and client data protection
