Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of cash receipts across the organization. Manage electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments, lockbox deposits, and other incoming receipts. Actively monitor payment activity, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues. Maintain the integrity of the organization's cash activity by reconciling receipts to bank transactions. Support month-end and year-end reconciliation processes. Assist with key banking functions and provide support for general ledger activities. Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or 2–4 years of accounting experience. Experience in accounts receivable, cash management, bank reconciliations, or general accounting. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. High degree of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. Ability to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background study. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Experience supporting general ledger activities and month-end close processes preferred.
