For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Modeling and forecasting plan performance for new clients Providing renewal & forecast support for existing clientsEvaluating individual employer and book-of-business performanceAssisting and supporting underwriting for guarantees & stop lossSupporting other financial and design-related requests Documenting compliance with industry regulations Streamlining established processes via MS Office automation or other toolsDeveloping standard processes for new work, as Surest continues to growYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field2+ years of actuarial or health plan data analysis experienceActively pursuing actuarial exam track having attempted at least one SOA actuarial examIntermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and in particular financial charts and graphs)Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing health plan (self-insured or fully insured) forecasting and analysisExperience reviewing health claims data and performance Experience developing and reviewing health care cost projectionsExperience working with health plans ranging from small to large groupProficiency with VBA or other coding software*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
