Vice President, Senior Director - Response and Recovery

Role Description

Tidal Basin, a Michael Baker International Company, is seeking an energetic, experienced, and results-oriented Vice President, Senior Director for our Response and Recovery Programs (R&R) business unit. The R&R business unit focuses on response and recovery activities at the federal and state levels, including:

• FEMA Public Assistance (PA)
• FEMA Individual Assistance (IA)
• Hazard Mitigation (FEMA 406)

This senior leader will support Tidal Basin’s growth in this sector, delivering policy and program services for:

• Debris monitoring
• Site inspections
• Preliminary damage assessments
• Post-disaster housing and sheltering
• On-site technical support
• Contact center/call center support
• On-site staff support (at EOCs or field operations locations)
• Grants program management
• Other federal and state pre- and post-disaster programs

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced subject matter expert to help grow a multidisciplinary service.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of project management and consulting service models
• FEMA Response and Recovery Subject Matter and Program Management Expertise
• Experience in all facets of R&R related work
• Experience working to deploy solutions to support clients in project and program management
• Strong, dynamic leadership that mentors and develops team members
• Excellent oral, written, organizational, and time management skills
• Experience working with federal grant-funded programs
• Excellent client relations and understanding of local, state, and federal government

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Planning, Engineering/Architecture, Environmental, Finance or related degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
• 15 years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience delivering public and individual assistance projects
• Experience leading diverse technical and geographic teams
• Complete all required compliance training
• Perform other duties as assigned
