Travel assignment, 13 weeks, 12hr days, 48 hours a week, starting November 2, 2026.

Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,250 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,209.80 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Step Down Unit Nurse – (Location) — This facility is seeking a dedicated Step Down Unit Nurse to provide care for a mix of medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. The role involves monitoring and managing various cardiac and respiratory conditions, with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Education Requirements: Current license in the state or a compact license approved for practice in the state.
• Experience Requirement: 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting; preferred 5-6 months of patient ratio experience and charting experience with Epic.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Clinical Responsibilities include: Managing cardiac and vascular patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, managing Vasoactive drips, and providing advanced airway management including BiPAP/CPAP.
• Additional Information: The unit accepts 1st time travelers; the nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6. Must complete onboarding core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing.
• Requirements for submission: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal, all RTO must be listed, previous staff must be approved by the facility to return.
