Primary Function: Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the flow of material through the production cycle. Major Responsibilities: Calculates and plans amount and timing of material requirements. Generates purchase requisitions, shop orders, and shippers for material required for production. Monitors the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, inspection, receiving, and stores. Performs routine recordkeeping and reporting tasks such as status reports on production and material deficiencies. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation and judgment. Must be computer literate, knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel. Requires a working knowledge of an ERP system. Education/Experience/Training: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Ability to read difficult instructions, maintain written records and utilize basic math skills. Requires experience in planning parts and materials for electro‑mechanical assemblies in a complex manufacturing environment. Shop scheduling/capacity management skills desirable. Additional Requirements: Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion. Ability to type for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel and squat. Will be exposed to some or all of the following: fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. Able to move items 20 pounds for distances up to 50 feet. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
