IP Accountant

: Location: McLean,VA,US Remote Work: Hybrid Job Number: R0190747 IP Accountant

Key Role:

Serve as part of the General Accounting team to support data gathering for third-party audit requests and in-house queries, as required. Assume responsibility for moderately complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements. Work under general supervision and assist with the development of audit procedures and controls to meet Government Accounting Compliance requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ year of experience with finance or general accounting

• Experience with preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations between ledger and subledgers

• Experience with supporting monthly and quarterly financial close processes

• Knowledge of GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards

• Ability to identify accounting irregularities and discrepancies

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with government cost accounting principles

• Experience with working in Deltek Costpoint and CoStar Real Estate Manager

• Knowledge with Microsoft Excel

• Ability to develop solutions from limited information using analysis

• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of management

• CPA License or CPA Candidate

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
